Job Description

The Arc of Opportunity is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Professional for our Agency with Choice Program.

This is a flexible, part-time position of 3 hours per week in Worcester, with additional hours available if desired.

The Support Professional will assist and support individuals with disabilities in developing and practicing skills necessary to pursue opportunities in the community.

Key duties include:

  • Implementing Individual Support Plans based on assessments, objectives, and goals.
  • Tracking and reporting data related to goals and objectives.
  • Actively advocating for the individual with whom they are working.
  • Assisting individuals with disabilities in accessing community resources that will empower them and enhance their quality of life.
  • Attending mandatory training and meetings as assigned and required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must pass background checks and pre-employment screenings, including TB test and CORI.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office, email communication, internet, and ADP payroll app.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with program participants and fellow staff.
  • Compassionate, resourceful, and eager to learn.
  • Able to use creative problem-solving skills and work independently when needed.
  • Physical demands may include frequent standing, pushing, pulling, walking, stooping, lifting, and/or twisting.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle meeting state requirements.
