Key Responsibilities- Implement budgeting and financial record-keeping procedures for the Program Management Team to ensure efficient coordination of various department and designated accounts.
- Monitor and report on allocated funds against executed funds.
- Coordinate with the SCA budget office and the Budget and Planning Bureau to ensure budget requests are accurate and made in a timely manner.
- Participate in the review of budget requests from team members for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to instructions.
- Assist team managers in program decision-making and planning by analyzing financial aspects of various programs.
- Expert knowledge of the fundamentals of economics, statistics, accounting, banking, and financial markets.
- Knowledge of budgeting principles and practices to formulate, present, justify, and execute budgets involving millions of dollars.
- Expert knowledge of financial procedures, applicable laws, regulations, and other guidance to prepare financial plans that are accurate and timely to inform management decisions.
- Ability to identify and secure appropriate alternative funding/revenue sources.
- Experience as a financial management officer in a government agency or in a business or industrial concern with responsibilities for program planning, organization, methods, and procedures.
The contractor must be a United States citizen and must be granted a Secret security clearance prior to entry on duty and maintain such clearance throughout the period of employment.
