Residential Child Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Child Care Worker to join our team at The Learning Center for the Deaf Inc. As a Residential Child Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to our deaf children and youth, helping them to thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Implement treatment plans and provide direct care to children in our residential program.
- Supervise children in daily routines and assist with activities of daily living skills.
- Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with children while maintaining appropriate adult/child boundaries.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless care and support.
- Maintain current certifications in PART, Pro-Act, OSHA, CPR, and First Aid.
- At least one year of experience in a residential treatment program or a degree in Human Services.
- Previous experience with crisis prevention and ability to prevent harmful behaviors.
- Conversational fluency in American Sign Language required, with native or near-native fluency preferred.
