We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Child Care Worker to join our team at The Learning Center for the Deaf Inc. As a Residential Child Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to our deaf children and youth, helping them to thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement treatment plans and provide direct care to children in our residential program.
  • Supervise children in daily routines and assist with activities of daily living skills.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with children while maintaining appropriate adult/child boundaries.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Maintain current certifications in PART, Pro-Act, OSHA, CPR, and First Aid.
Requirements
  • At least one year of experience in a residential treatment program or a degree in Human Services.
  • Previous experience with crisis prevention and ability to prevent harmful behaviors.
  • Conversational fluency in American Sign Language required, with native or near-native fluency preferred.
