At the University of Maryland Medical System, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our clinical division. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating the delivery of patient care services within our clinical division.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement patient care delivery systems that promote collaboration with other healthcare disciplines, facilitate cost-effective utilization of resources, and support the achievement of corporate quality and business objectives.
- Collaborate with medical staff leadership to project program development needs and identify immediate and future requirements for clinical services.
- Develop and implement operating budgets and productivity and utilization management systems.
- Provide leadership in promoting and valuing workforce diversity and facilitating the recruitment, development, and retention of minority staff.
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing required. A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing or related field is required. Graduate preparation in management is preferred.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact State agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing, is required.
- Six years experience in nursing is required. Three years managerial experience is required.
