School Intervention Specialist

Job DescriptionThe School Intervention Specialist is responsible for the direct implementation of behavioral interventions, therapeutic activities, psychoeducational treatment, and care coordination duties for children and adolescents referred by the school administration. These direct services are provided individually or in groups of children and adolescents in the school setting and summer-based program setting when school is closed for summer break.

- Care coordination duties
Bachelor's degree in a human services-related field plus one year of clinical experience working with children/adolescents in a mental health setting required. Registration with the Virginia Department of Health Professions as a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Child (QMHP-C) or Qualified Mental Health Professional Trainee (QMHP Trainee) is preferred. Must possess a valid VA driver's license and maintain a safe driving record according to RACS policies.
