Key Responsibilities- Provide ongoing support to building-level staff and teachers on local and state procedures governing special education.
- Conduct compliance monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure quality programming.
- Ensure IDEA compliance at the district, state, and federal level.
- Complete Prior Written Notice (PWN) for Child Study, Eligibility, and IEP Meetings.
- Review IEPs in a timely manner, using a checklist to provide feedback.
- Provide Educational Testing (Woodcock Johnson) as requested.
- Support new special education teachers.
- Effectively communicate with team members.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of specified records and information.
- Current licensed special education teacher (no provisional license).
- Hold a Collegiate or Postgraduate Professional License with an endorsement in special education.
- Ability to lift and carry an object weighing up to 25 lbs.
- First Aid Certificate, including CPR.
- Valid Driver's License.
