Job Summary

As a Nurse Specialist at SENTA Partners, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of care for our surgical patients. This position requires a skilled and compassionate nurse who can provide exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess medical history of surgical patients by performing pre-op calls and preparing patient for surgery on the day of by doing a patient assessment, taking vital signs, starting an IV, and administering pre-operative care.
  • Ownership of the patient post-surgery, including assessment and documentation of the patient's condition, monitoring patient's vital signs, pain control, fluids intake/output, etc.
  • Reports any abnormalities to anesthesiologist and/or surgeon as needed and provides post-surgery care education to the patient and the family members.
  • Performs chart reviews prior to charts being completed and scanned into the practice management software and participates in the quality and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable government laws, rules, regulations, AAOA and Company policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • Active RN license in the practicing state
  • Certification in CPR, ACLS required. PALS is preferred
  • A minimum of one-year experience in PACU is required
