This role is designed to champion and advance the philanthropic mission of the organization. The Associate Manager will oversee the operational aspects of the giving department, ensuring that the processes are efficient and effective. Key responsibilities include managing donation transactions, enhancing employee engagement in philanthropic initiatives, providing exceptional customer service, facilitating internal communications, and supervising the Giving Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough vetting and quality assurance for nonprofit partnerships, contributions, and initiatives.
  • Ensure timely submission of documentation to the finance department for prompt payment processing.
  • Compile and present weekly financial reports.
  • Manage the integration of Budget Line Items into Salesforce, including quarterly financial reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to address any outstanding payment inquiries or issues.
  • Review and authorize funding requests exceeding $15,000.
  • Utilize analytical tools to monitor outstanding payments and provide quarterly updates to the team.
  • Design and facilitate training sessions for the team on payment protocols and best practices.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery to both the team and nonprofit partners.
  • Plan and execute community service initiatives for significant corporate events.
  • Engage with the team to promote volunteer opportunities and programs.
  • Research and present volunteer opportunities for team involvement.
  • Create a comprehensive Service Project Planning Guide to assist the team in executing local community projects.
  • Draft and distribute Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) for service projects.
  • Oversee the Employee Giving Program, facilitated through Uncommon Giving.
  • Manage the Love Inbox, ensuring excellent customer service for external partners and nonprofits.
  • Provide internal stakeholders with support through various communication channels.
  • Maintain and enhance internal resources, ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant.
  • Develop and curate content for newsletters and internal news updates.
  • Coordinate national disaster relief efforts and support localized initiatives.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with disaster relief organizations at various levels.
  • Prepare impact reports and summaries regarding disaster relief activities.
  • Inspire and guide the Giving Coordinator in their professional development.
  • Foster collaborative relationships across internal and external teams to enhance team success.
  • Identify growth opportunities for the Giving Coordinator.
  • Assist team members with inquiries related to activities and initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support to the team, including preparation of presentations, invoice processing, and budget monitoring.
  • Represent the organization at charitable events as needed.
  • Communicate the organization's mission and current initiatives as required.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory.

  • Strong analytical abilities and effective time management skills.

  • Experience with data management systems; familiarity with Salesforce is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in the nonprofit sector or related fields is a plus.
