We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine team at Allegheny Health Network. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing prescribed Sonography procedures with a high level of technical expertise and independent judgment.
Key Responsibilities- Position patients and perform imaging procedures with precision and accuracy.
- Analyze results and identify issues with image quality, taking appropriate action to resolve them.
- Enter, transmit, and report scan results in a timely and accurate manner.
- Review patient history and physician's orders, educating patients regarding procedures and equipment as needed.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice, monitoring patient condition and reporting/responding to changes in status as appropriate.
- Prepare equipment and supplies, selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, and implementing safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology required within 12 months of hire.
- Nuchal Translucency Certification- Fetal Medicine Foundation completed within 12 months of hire.
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of associate degree.
- CPR – American Heart Association certification.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate, Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate, and Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- 4 years of OB/GYN experience.
- Registered in Fetal Echo.
