Job Overview

The Accounting Manager will be a key member of the Finance team, interacting directly with employees across the Firm, including executives and group heads. This role will report to the Assistant Controller and will be heavily involved in the allocation and recording of expenses for the company and its corporate subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Corporate Amex reporting and out of pocket reimbursement processes for company employees, utilizing Concur.
  • Act as the third level of approval for employee expense reports, ensuring proper receipts, accurate client allocations, and compliance with company policy.
  • Follow up with delinquent users as necessary.
  • Provide support to company employees on expense allocation policy.
  • Act as a Concur super user for the Firm, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Provide detailed reporting on employee expense reports to the CFO as needed.
  • Support the Assistant Controller with the annual audits of corporate subsidiaries.
  • Perform monthly expense allocations to clients in accordance with contracts and governing documents.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts for entities, including quarterly workpapers.
  • Analyze expense variances.
  • Support budgeting processes for vendors and expense line items as needed.
  • Develop ad hoc reports and analyze key expense areas as necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a finance function.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with SAP Concur (expense reporting).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Allvue).
  • Experience in financial services is not required but is favorable.
  • Strong accountability and organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team structure and with other internal departments.
  • Comfortable working with large data sets.
