We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our team at The Clorox Company. As a key member of our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our manufacturing sites and facilities comply with environmental regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and training to site environmental leads on environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
- Communicate environmental compliance and sustainability results to HSE and business leadership.
- Assist in the development and training of site E&S leads, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to provide day-to-day leadership.
- Conduct on-site E&S audits, identify gaps, and work with sites to implement corrective actions.
- Support sites in managing TRACS (HSE data systems) and maintaining up-to-date compliance actions in our company-wide EMS.
- Provide technical support, training, and leadership to site leads on regulatory agencies, TRACS system leadership, and management.
- Drive adherence to corporate E&S standards and legislative regulatory compliance across the company.
- Lead internal Environmental Audits and assist with external audits.
- Support updates or new standards due to regulatory legislation or best practice work.
- Handle relationships and negotiate service agreements with outside vendors.
- Support and mentor ECs in main compliance areas (air, waste, wastewater, stormwater, EPCRA, Spill Response).
- Support sites with written plans, correspondences, and reports to regulatory agencies.
- Assist plants with data collection and analysis for internal and external reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support environmental target criteria on project teams.
- Serve as owner for E&S SharePoint site and company-wide compliance document retention.
- Support senior environmental resources on projects related to air compliance, water stewardship, energy reduction, and property acquisitions and closures.
- Leadership and influence with a proven track record of working collaboratively to deliver results.
- Technical knowledge of environmental regulatory compliance requirements, including air, waste management, stormwater, industrial wastewater, and EPCRA programs.
- Experience in negotiations with EPA and/or State regulatory authorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and mentoring skills.
- Validated performance in a position of direct leadership for environmental compliance deliverables (3+ years' experience).
- Validated environmental leadership with direct accountability for regulatory management (minimally 5 years).
- Understanding of manufacturing processes with 2+ years' direct experience.

Zone A: $104,100 - $199,100
Zone B: $95,500 - $183,300
Zone C: $86,800 - $166,600
This job is eligible for participation in Clorox's incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
