Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for utility projects.
  • Conduct site visits and field inspections to gather data and ensure project compliance.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to develop project designs and solutions.
  • Perform calculations and analyses to support engineering designs.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Civil3D to create and modify engineering drawings.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as needed.
  • Ensure all designs and documentation comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals and presentations.
  • Monitor project progress and provide updates to senior engineers and project managers.
  • Support the development and implementation of project schedules and budgets.
  • Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Provide input on improving project processes and methodologies.
  • Ensure safety standards and protocols are followed on all project sites.
Requirements
  • Engineering Degree (ABET Accredited)
  • 4 to 5+ years professional working experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Licence in the state of Illinois
  • Working knowledge within AutoCAD
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on Civil Projects & Utility Projects
  • Civil3D
