Civil Engineer Job Description

CB&I is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to support the design and construction of storage facilities, tanks, and terminals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in foundation support systems and a passion for delivering world-class storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and analysis of foundations for steel plate structures, including flat bottomed cylindrical storage tanks, spheres, and elevated tanks.
  • Provide reviews, comments, and determination of soil parameters from factual and interpretive soil reports.
  • Investigate and solve civil problems/issues in the field.
  • Design special concrete structures, including foundations.
  • Collaborate with drafters, modelers, and detailers, as well as personnel from sales, estimating, operations, and project management functions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Structural Engineering and/or Civil Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited school.
  • 2 to 10 years of industry experience in civil structural engineering/foundation engineering.
  • Understanding of AISC, ASCE, IBC, API, ACI, and associated structural and seismic codes.
  • Professional Engineering registered is desired or ability to obtain.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
