Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Administrator to join our team at the City of Rialto. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and security of our systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and MAN networks
  • Administer and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Monitor network performance and security, identifying and mitigating potential issues
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network services
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in network administration and design
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
  • Experience with network security, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cisco CCNA or higher certification
  • Microsoft MCSE certification
  • Network+ certification
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V
