Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at Contessa - Boston. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our upscale dining restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest service, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Daily Operations: Work under the direction of the General Manager to oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, including staff scheduling, task delegation, and ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Staff Management: Schedule and appoint tasks and responsibilities to staff as directed by the General Manager, providing guidance and support to ensure staff are equipped to deliver exceptional service.
  • Training and Development: Train and enforce Major Food Group best practices and policies, ensuring all staff are knowledgeable and compliant with company standards.
  • Quality Control: Ensure policies are upheld, and quality standards are maintained, ensuring a consistently exceptional dining experience for our guests.
  • Guest Service: Offer and inspire exemplary guest service, ensuring every guest feels valued and cared for.
  • Other Responsibilities: Perform other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in a management role in the Restaurant/Hospitality Industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Culinary Experience: Culinary certificate or comparable experience working in culinary roles preferred.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous experience performing new restaurant opening responsibilities, such as training and motivating new employees, implementing new systems, policies, and procedures strongly preferred.
  • Team Player: Proven team player willing to roll up their sleeves, a good leader should be willing and able to do whatever they ask of their team.
  • Leadership Qualities: Must exemplify the highest standards in honesty, integrity, humility, and leadership.
  • Restaurant Experience: Experience managing large-scale restaurants a plus.
