The Detroit Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at DMC Harper University/Hutzel Women's Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional respiratory care services to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide therapeutic and rehabilitative procedures and diagnostic tests for patients with cardiopulmonary abnormalities.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop optimal cardiopulmonary care plans for patients.
- Perform patient assessments, evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of therapy, and determine which respiratory care activities can be delegated to other care team members.
- Instruct employees and students in the principles and practices of designated respiratory care procedures/tasks and evaluate their competence.
- May function as an in-charge therapist and preceptor, as requested.
- Graduation from an AMA/CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
- Registration (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- BCLS certification required. ACLS certification preferred.
- Licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan.
