About the Role

V2X is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Tools Administrator to join our team. As a Cybersecurity Tools Administrator, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Directorate's cybersecurity toolsets, ensuring the security and integrity of our global WAN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and Maintain Cybersecurity Toolsets: Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain the hardware and software required to effectively manage cybersecurity toolsets across a global WAN.
  • Develop and Maintain Systems Documentation: Develop and maintain systems documentation as it pertains to endpoint and network security capabilities and their implementation.
  • Build and Tune Rules and Alerts: Build tuning rules, alerts, and response activities that detect and mitigate perceived threats within the operational environment.
  • Monitor and Analyze Indicators of Compromise: Monitor, analyze, and escalate indicators of compromise or anomalous activity identified via cybersecurity toolsets.
  • Develop Reports and Provide Statuses: Develop reports and provide statuses on system health, wellness, availability, and issue mitigation progress.
Qualifications
  • Hands-on Experience with Enterprise Cybersecurity Toolsets: Four or more years of progressive, hands-on experience as an engineer or administrator responsible for Enterprise cybersecurity toolsets.
  • Proficiency in IT Devices and Technologies: Demonstrated hands-on proficiency and expertise in the following areas: engineering or administering a variety of IT devices, toolsets, and technologies, such as Windows OS, Linux OS, Cisco, Citrix, VMware, Active Directory, LDAP, DHCP, etc.
  • Understanding of Industry-Standard Cybersecurity Policies: Understanding and applying industry-standard DoD/IC cybersecurity policies, standards, and frameworks such as MITRE, NIST, CMMC, etc.
  • Securing or Operating Systems Compliant with DISA STIGs: Securing or operating systems compliant with DISA STIGs.
  • Excellent Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with an ability to work both independently and as a team.
  • Excellent Communication and Reporting Skills: Excellent written, verbal, communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
Education and Certification
  • Associate's Degree from an Accredited University: Associate's degree from an accredited University.
  • Certification in Cybersecurity: CompTIA Security+ ce, GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP).
Security Clearance Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship: This position will require U.S. Citizenship.
  • Active DoD Top Secret SCI Clearance: An active DoD Top Secret SCI clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
