Job Title: Controller

At Alfa Dental Support, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, the Controller will be responsible for directing our financial operations and ensuring compliance across multiple offices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the reporting, accounting, and analysis of all finances and projects, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of monthly and year-end financial statements.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external auditors, accountants, financial counterparties at operating partners, and bankers.
  • Prepare investor and management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage a team of accounting professionals, providing leadership, continuity, and mentoring to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in due diligence processes during acquisitions, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate in executing and implementing financing strategies and managing legal entity structuring issues for investments or projects.
  • Oversee all accounting department operations and collaborate with the CEO and upper-level managers on executive decisions.
  • Prepare cash and accrual-based monthly financial statements for multiple offices, including general ledger functions.
  • Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and collections staff to ensure efficient financial operations.
  • Evaluate, implement, and maintain appropriate internal control systems and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Prepare annual budgets for multiple offices and analyze monthly budget variances, ensuring financial performance aligns with projections.
  • Oversee the financial aspects of the company's growth and expansion plans.
  • Assist with special projects as deemed necessary by the CEO to support the company's financial goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of relevant work experience as a Senior, Assistant Controller, Controller, or equivalent.
  • CPA or CPA Candidate preferred.
  • Strong communication and management skills, with the ability to present financial data effectively.
  • Self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to handle urgent and last-minute changes.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and QuickBooks.
  • Prior experience in the dental industry is a plus but not required.
