LifeBridge Health is seeking a highly skilled Medication Safety Officer (MSO) to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy and quality departments, you will play a critical role in improving the safety of medication management for patients throughout our system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with statewide, national, CMS, and TJC standards and regulations related to safe medication practices.
- Develop and enhance the system-wide culture of receptivity to medication safety.
- Actively participate in the overall improvement of organizational performance by implementing and maintaining a system for identifying, collecting, analyzing, and reporting medication safety-related performance data.
- Provide education to staff and physicians on medication safety, risk reduction, event reporting, and regulatory issues.
Requirements:
- Graduate from a college of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education.
- PharmD and Post Graduate Residency preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience.
- Current Maryland Pharmacy license.
