Medication Safety Specialist

The Medication Safety Officer is a critical role within LifeBridge Health, responsible for ensuring the safe management of medications across the organization. This position plays a key part in improving patient safety and reducing the risk of medication-related errors.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines, including those set by TJC, CMS, and national patient safety goals.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to medication safety, working closely with leadership and staff to ensure effective implementation.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to mitigate medication safety risks.
- Provide education and training to staff and physicians on medication safety best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with clinical departments and hospital leadership to develop and implement quality and medication safety initiatives.
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as pharmacy or healthcare administration.
- Current Maryland Pharmacy license.
- 5-7 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a leadership or quality assurance role.
