Bartender Job Description

Fogo de Chão is seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcoming customers and determining their beverage preferences
  • Informing customers about new beverages and specials
  • Preparing and serving beverages to customers, including cocktails, wine, and beer
  • Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol
  • Providing responsible service of alcoholic beverages, complying with all local, state, and federal liquor laws and food safety regulations
  • Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure the bar and tables are well-stocked
  • Preparing and serving menu items according to Fogo de Chão recipes and guidelines
  • Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons
  • Educating self and assisting co-workers in understanding basic "bar vocabulary", i.e., wine and liquor varieties, types of mixed drinks, etc.
Physical Demands:

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and stand for prolonged hours. Must have a high level of endurance and mental acuity and toughness to manage conflict and deal successfully with high stress situations.

Fogo de Chão offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan. Part-time team members are also eligible for benefits, including a Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) Health plan and voluntary benefits such as pet insurance and legal protection.

This position has a fixed rate of $17.28 and is also eligible to receive tips. Additional details regarding tips will be made available during onboarding or upon request.
