Join Our Team as an Echocardiography Specialist

Regions Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Echocardiography Specialist to enhance our Heart Center. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the well-being of our patients and the broader community. As part of our esteemed Heart Center team, you will engage in a diverse range of cardiac diagnostic procedures while collaborating with leading cardiologists and heart surgeons.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Echocardiography Specialist, your primary duties will include:
  • Conducting echocardiographic assessments on adult patients within the Cardiology Noninvasive Laboratory.
  • Performing various echocardiographic techniques, including M-Mode, Two-Dimensional, contrast, pulsed, continuous wave, and color flow Doppler echocardiography.
  • Executing stress and dobutamine echocardiography, as well as transesophageal echocardiography.
  • Participating in departmental initiatives to meet and exceed operational goals.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, day shift from 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, with on-call responsibilities and a weekend rotation every 6-7 weeks.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Registration or eligibility for registration as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or RCS, to be obtained within six months of employment.
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is mandatory.

Preferred:
- Completion of an accredited echocardiography program or a bachelor’s degree in a life science field is highly regarded.
