About the Role

Volt is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Specialist to join our team in the Precision Fabrication department. As an Optical Technician 1, you will play a critical role in fabricating crystal rods and substrates to meet production schedules and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate crystal rods and substrates per technical work instructions and engineering blueprints
  • Perform polishing, cleaning, and inspecting tasks to ensure high-quality products
  • Enter data via process sheets and/or computer data systems to track production progress
  • Maintain equipment and tooling, as well as keep a clean and organized work area
  • Ensure quality, health, and safety standards are met throughout the production cell
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree or two-year technical degree preferred
  • Manual dexterity required for handling small parts, laser rods, and precision optics
  • Experience with microscopes and hand-held measuring devices a plus
  • Basic math skills essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills necessary
  • Visual acuity required
  • Flexible shift schedule a plus
  • 1-2 years' experience in manufacturing and/or fabrication a preference
Estimated Salary

$55,000 - $65,000 per annum
