Fabrication Worker Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Worker to join our team in Charlotte, NC.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity with potential for a 10% to 15% pay increase once converted to a permanent employee. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude and technical manufacturing experience.

You will be responsible for fabricating crystal parts according to technical drawing specifications and production schedules, as well as cleaning substrates and inspecting them for cosmetic defects.

The successful candidate will have excellent mathematical and measuring skills, with the ability to use specialized equipment and maintain written records.

A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential qualities for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Fabricate crystal parts per technical drawing specification and production schedule
  • Clean substrates and inspect them for cosmetic defects, scratches, digs, stains, sleeks, etc.
  • Follow technical work instructions and understand engineering blueprints
  • Complete all associated process documentation
  • Maintain tooling and a clean, organized work environment; follow housekeeping schedule
  • Conduct preventative maintenance
  • Work closely with teammates with a positive approach
  • Participate in team projects developing process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to enhance quality, cost, and scheduling
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Possess strong mechanical aptitude; ability to use specialized equipment, read detailed instructions/prints, and maintain written records
  • Maintain an organized work environment using 5S principals
  • Technical manufacturing experience is required
  • Must have excellent mathematical and measuring skills (experience with micrometers, calipers, and other calibrated measurement tools)
  • Ability to communicate, both written and verbally, in a technical environment
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity skills are required
  • Regular, consistent attendance is required
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $18 to $19 per hour, based on several factors including education, work experience, and location.
