Position Overview

This role involves the thorough investigation of intricate, unrepresented claims, which often encompass uninsured or underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) claims resulting from single or multiple vehicle incidents, as well as moderate to severe claims. The individual may also manage complex claims related to business interruptions, loss of income, or errors and omissions. Responsibilities include taking recorded statements, resolving loss of use claims, processing payments to relevant parties, and negotiating or referring bodily injury matters that require further resolution.

Incentives: You may qualify for a $1000 Licensing Sign-on Bonus if you possess the necessary active licenses for this position, which may include Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designated Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License, and/or an applicable Appraiser License.

Daily Responsibilities:

As a Claims Adjuster, your primary focus will be on investigating automobile accidents that involve property damage and/or bodily injury with legal representation. You will work remotely, efficiently managing your duties while assessing coverage, liability, and damages, all while delivering exceptional customer service.

Effective communication with customers and attorneys will occur through various channels, including phone calls, emails, and text messages. Utilizing innovative tools, you will engage in negotiations to achieve fair settlements for all parties involved.

Key Roles:

  • Customer Service Advocate: Embody Allstate's Claims Culture by demonstrating empathy and commitment in every casualty claim.
  • Investigator: Conduct thorough investigations by reviewing damages and interpreting policies to ascertain coverage.
  • Communicator: Utilize various communication methods to guide customers through a seamless claims process.
  • Negotiator: Assess and negotiate settlements with customers and other parties in line with legal and business standards.
  • Problem Solver: Employ various tools and critical thinking skills to navigate a fast-paced environment.
  • Documenter: Maintain accurate records of your work in the claims system, ensuring timely documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in handling represented casualty claims is preferred.
  • Familiarity with claims in NY, NJ, and PA is advantageous.
  • 2-5 years of experience in managing complex bodily injury claims is preferred.
  • Prior experience with litigation claims is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly over the phone, to build rapport and assess claims accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Knowledge of insurance policies and liability determination.
  • Excellent critical thinking and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with innovative tools for claims evaluation.

Licensing Requirements:

  • As a condition of employment, you may be required to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire.
  • The Hiring Manager will assist you in securing the necessary licenses.

Remote Work:

This is a permanent remote position. Your home office must be located within the United States, excluding certain states.
