About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Management Professional to join our team at General Search & Recruitment. As a Liability Claims Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing a variety of liability claims, including Automobile Liability, General Liability, Employers Liability, Public Entity, Cyber, Excess, Umbrella, and Construction Liability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of coverage and exposure for clients to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Reserve Management: Set accurate reserves in accordance with established procedures to minimize financial risk.
  • Effective Litigation Oversight: Manage litigation processes to achieve cost-effective resolutions.
  • Resolution Expertise: Develop and implement cost-effective claim resolution strategies to maximize client satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed case files, and prepare comprehensive reports to support decision-making.
  • Collaborative Support: Provide expert insights and support to internal teams to drive business growth.
  • Efficiency in Process: Process reimbursement requests and manage invoices in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Reinsurance Coordination: Identify reinsurance claims and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Engagement Beyond Office: Travel for mediations and trials as required to ensure effective claim resolution.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in handling complex claims, with a proven track record of success.
  • Litigation Proficiency: Strong understanding of claims litigation and its implications.
  • Coverage Analysis: Ability to assess coverage issues and provide expert recommendations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
  • Organizational Abilities: Strong organizational skills to manage high-volume workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Technical Competence: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required, JD qualification a plus.
  • Preferred Designations: AIC, SCLA, or CLCS designations advantageous.
