Job Overview

The Security Officer performs essential protective services as a uniformed representative, ensuring the safety of company and client assets, which encompasses employees, visitors, and both tangible and intangible properties. Under close supervision, the officer will demonstrate competence in the procedures and systems associated with Control Center operations, patrolling, and fixed post duties, while actively seeking guidance from supervisors and colleagues to enhance their skill set.

Key Responsibilities

+ Operate a dynamic, technology-driven security control center: respond to both domestic and international inquiries, dispatch personnel via two-way radios, utilize emergency notification systems, monitor video surveillance, and manage access control to prevent unauthorized entry while maintaining accurate logs.

+ Conduct regular patrols: traverse the property on foot or by vehicle to observe activities, take appropriate investigative or enforcement actions, respond to alarms or incidents requiring security intervention, and document actions through comprehensive reports.

+ Fulfill security duties at designated posts: including lobby, visitor center, security credential desk, checkpoints, perimeter inspections, and temporary assignments.

+ Adhere to established operating procedures and directives to support security objectives.

Essential Qualifications

+ High school diploma; 0-2 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.

+ Physical fitness standards, including the ability to stand and walk for up to 90% of the work shift.

+ Successful completion of medical and psychological evaluations.

+ Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications.

+ Demonstrated courtesy, tact, and effectiveness in interpersonal interactions.

+ Ability to meet all training and regulatory requirements.

+ Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.

+ Valid driver's license.

+ Firearms qualifications as required for the role.

+ Capacity for active thinking, sound judgment, and maintaining composure in high-pressure situations.

+ Completion of new hire security training is mandatory.
