Anatomic Pathology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Anatomic Pathology Technician to join our team at AmplifyBio. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing necropsy examinations of rodents and large laboratory animals, as well as tissue trimming, data recording, and quality control reviews in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Key Responsibilities- Necropsy Examinations: Perform necropsy examinations of rodents and large laboratory animals to identify any abnormalities or lesions.
- Tissue Trimming: Trim tissues for microscopic examination, ensuring accurate and precise results.
- Data Recording: Record data accurately and efficiently, maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality control reviews to ensure compliance with GLP and other relevant regulations.
- Equipment Operation: Operate various histology laboratory equipment, including microtomes and staining equipment.
- Tissue Embedding: Embed tissues for microscopic examination, ensuring accurate and precise results.
- Slide Inventory: Maintain accurate records of tissue and slide inventory.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in biology, animal science, or related life science, or equivalent laboratory experience.
- Experience: At least 2.5 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a histopathology or anatomic pathology setting.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Certifications: Must be certified in Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and have a strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols.
