Job Title: Part-Time Security Officer

Central Carolina Technical College is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our campus community.

Job Summary:

The Part-Time Security Officer will perform duties related to campus safety and security, including monitoring and reporting maintenance issues, checking fire extinguishers, and providing information assistance to visitors, students, faculty, and staff. The successful candidate will also be responsible for closing buildings and responding to alarm activations during normal business hours or when the College is closed.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and report maintenance issues to the maintenance department
  • Check fire extinguishers monthly and document the checks
  • Provide information assistance to visitors, students, faculty, and staff
  • Answer complaints, prepare incident reports, and notify authorities of incidents
  • Closing buildings and responding to alarm activations during normal business hours or when the College is closed
  • Locks and unlocks exterior and interior doors as scheduled and requested
  • Patrols grounds and buildings on campus to maintain order and provide protection of building contents and grounds
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends
