Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare team
  • Administer medications and injections, perform venipuncture for lab draws, and conduct EKGs, Spirometry, Flu, and Strep Tests
  • Maintain medical supplies inventory and perform preventive maintenance on medical equipment
  • Verify patient information, prepare patients for examination, and secure patient confidentiality
  • Process referrals, maintain a safe and healthy work environment, and keep equipment operating
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and training

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent adult education program
  • Medical Assistant diploma, technical certificate, or certification
  • Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or RMA)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPR certification
  • 1+ years of clinical experience in a family medicine setting
  • Experience working as a Medical Assistant or EMT
  • Experience with electronic medical records software
  • Experience performing medical back office tasks, including obtaining vital signs, injections/immunizations, phlebotomy, urinalysis, and administering medications
  • Experience performing medical front office tasks, including scheduling appointments, prior authorizations, medication refills, and referrals
