We are currently seeking motivated individuals for the position of HVAC Technician.

Position Overview: HVAC Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in an HVAC apprenticeship program, which includes both educational and paid on-the-job training—expenses covered by the employer.
  • Conduct repairs and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, which includes:
    • Monitoring system gauges and instruments for adjustments.
    • Assembling system components through various methods such as screwing, bolting, riveting, welding, and brazing.
    • Lubricating motors, fans, and control units.
    • Installing electrical wiring.
    • Cutting, threading, welding, and connecting piping.
  • Diagnose system issues and communicate with users to identify problems.
  • Utilize a computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders.
  • Prepare necessary reports as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic skills in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to read and write in English; familiarity with blueprints and technical documents is advantageous.
  • Understanding of basic mathematics, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and simple algebra and geometry.
  • Previous experience in trades or related fields is preferred.
  • Knowledge of HVAC equipment, air compressors, and plumbing systems is a plus.
  • Awareness of OSHA regulations, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out and HAZCOM guidelines is beneficial.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Work in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions.
  • Ability to work at heights exceeding 15 feet.
  • Exposure to noise levels above 80 dBA.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Physical capability to bend, push/pull, twist, stoop, squat, lift, crawl, and climb.
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate and handle tools and equipment.
  • Strong vision is required, including the ability to see at various distances and distinguish colors.
