We are in search of a passionate and skilled HVAC Technician to fill a vital role within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems across various settings. Key Responsibilities:
As an HVAC Technician, your daily tasks will encompass:
1. Installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and their components.
2. Diagnosing and resolving malfunctions in various HVAC systems and equipment.
3. Conducting routine preventative maintenance inspections of refrigerant systems and heating and ventilation units, including boilers and air conditioning systems, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
4. Testing HVAC systems and components to ensure optimal performance.
5. Collaborating with construction and design teams to determine the most effective placement of HVAC systems.
6. Providing technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior HVAC mechanics and assistants.
7. Adhering to all relevant standards, policies, and procedures, including safety protocols and maintaining a tidy work environment.
8. Documenting service and installation activities through forms, reports, logs, and records.
9. Inspecting and testing systems to ensure compliance with specifications and to identify and rectify malfunctions.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC Technician.
2. A valid driver's license.
3. In-depth knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems.
4. EPA Certification; Refrigeration experience is a significant advantage.
5. Proficiency in reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
6. Strong understanding of safety procedures and the use of safety equipment.
7. Working knowledge of electricity, refrigeration, and plumbing.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
10. Physical capability to lift heavy equipment and work from heights.
11. EPA certification is preferred.
12. High school diploma or equivalent; a Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a related field is a plus.
