Position Overview:
We are in search of a motivated and experienced HVAC Technician to fill a crucial role within our organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic and diverse environment within the construction sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, upkeep, and repair of HVAC systems across various settings. Key Responsibilities:
As an HVAC Technician, your daily tasks will include:

1. Installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and their components.
2. Diagnosing and resolving issues in different types of HVAC systems and equipment.
3. Performing regular preventative maintenance inspections on refrigerant systems and heating and ventilation units, including boilers and air conditioning systems, and executing necessary adjustments or repairs.
4. Testing HVAC systems and components to ensure optimal performance.
5. Collaborating with construction and design teams to determine optimal HVAC system placements.
6. Providing technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior HVAC mechanics and assistants.
7. Adhering to all relevant standards, policies, and procedures, including safety protocols and maintaining a tidy work environment.
8. Documenting service and installation activities through forms, reports, logs, and records.
9. Inspecting and testing systems to confirm compliance with specifications and to identify and locate malfunctions.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC Technician.
2. A valid driver's license.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems.
4. EPA Certification; experience in refrigeration is a significant advantage.
5. Proficiency in reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
6. Strong understanding of safety procedures and the use of safety equipment.
7. Working knowledge of electricity, refrigeration, and plumbing.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
10. Physical capability to lift heavy equipment and work from heights.
11. EPA certification is preferred.
12. High school diploma or equivalent; a Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a related field is a plus.
