Filtrex Service Group - HVAC/R Maintenance Technician

Filtrex Service Group is a leading organization seeking dedicated technicians to execute comprehensive preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across various locations. The primary responsibilities include inspecting and cleaning a wide range of HVAC/R equipment. The ideal candidate should possess self-motivation, a sense of responsibility, and maintain a professional demeanor. A solid understanding of smartphone technology for digital communication and documentation is essential.

Position Responsibilities

Conduct standard preventative maintenance tasks on diverse equipment according to manufacturer specifications, including filter replacements. Perform minor adjustments on equipment, such as belt replacements, coil cleaning, and ice machine maintenance. Carry out visual and auditory inspections to ensure proper functionality. Assess equipment conditions and provide recommendations to prevent failures and minimize downtime. Document maintenance activities using a mobile application, including photographs and detailed notes.

Work Schedule and Environment

Technicians typically travel for three weeks each month, working six days a week, followed by one week off at home. Most holidays are spent at home, with up to 20 hours of overtime expected weekly.

Work conditions may vary, including exposure to noisy machinery, extreme weather, and challenging environments. Physical tasks involve manual dexterity, lifting, and moving items up to 10 lbs frequently, with occasional heavier lifting.

Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience in HVAC
  • Experience with ice machines is preferred
  • Clean driving record for the past 3 years
  • Preferred: EPA certification
  • Preferred: OSHA 10 certification
  • Technological proficiency is required
Skills Required
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Capability to follow both oral and written instructions
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards in work quality
  • Ensuring security and accountability in accessing equipment and facilities

Compensation and Benefits
  • Starting salary of $1,500 per week, commensurate with experience
  • 5 days of paid time off after 60 days of employment
