As an essential member of our organization, you will manage orders for materials or products received through various channels, including mail, phone, or in-person interactions with customers or company personnel by executing the following responsibilities. This role involves handling a significant volume of inquiries.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time role. Typical working days are Monday through Friday, with hours to be determined. This position does not offer remote work options. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary based on job requirements.
Compensation: $21.00-$24.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

•Comprehensive customer service oversight for the designated facility.

•Respond to incoming emails and phone calls from clients and suppliers.

•Process incoming orders and manage shipments.

•Adjust orders received for pricing and categorization.

•Inform clients of unit costs, shipping timelines, expected delays, and any additional information required.

•Monitor inventory levels and alert stock management teams of orders that may deplete inventory.

•Direct orders to appropriate departments for fulfillment and follow up to ensure timely delivery.

•Prepare invoices and shipping documentation.

•Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

•Address and document customer complaints, escalating issues to the dispatch manager as necessary.

•Maintain records or files of orders received according to anticipated delivery dates.

•Outstanding customer service aptitude with the ability to effectively resolve issues.

•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and Command Alkon software.

•Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

•High school diploma or equivalent educational background (GED).

•Six to twelve months of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
