This role is pivotal in supporting our operations and enhancing customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical and mechanical background, coupled with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all team members.
  • Assist customers via telephone and email with inquiries regarding the operation and application of Mazak products.
  • Provide recommendations for part processing and machine selection to optimize production efficiency.
  • Conduct time studies to estimate machine cycle times accurately.
  • Develop comprehensive proposals for manufacturing customer parts, including labor and tooling costs.
  • Design work holding and tooling solutions to facilitate the manufacturing process.
  • Demonstrate machine operations and features at various events.
  • Safely install and rig machines in technology centers and at events.
  • Train customers on safe machine operation and detailed functionalities at their facilities.
  • Perform test cuts to validate machine capabilities and processing concepts.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Qualifications:

  • Military veterans with technical training certificates or relevant degrees in mechanical, manufacturing, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
  • Associates degree in mechanical or manufacturing disciplines from an accredited institution is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and customer-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to create clear reports and action plans.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and independent decision-making.
  • Hands-on experience with machinery and equipment is essential.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM and EIA/ISO programming (e.g., Mastercam, Gibbs, Esprit) is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of metal cutting tools and material grades is beneficial.
  • Practical experience with part processing and machine tools will be gained through hands-on experience with Mazak machines.
  • Experience operating turning and machining centers or metal cutting equipment is a plus.
