Department: School of Criminal Justice and Criminology

The School of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Texas State University invites applicants for TWO full-time (nine-month) tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in Fall 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct high-quality research in the field of Criminal Justice and Criminology
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in the School of Criminal Justice and Criminology
  • Engage in university, professional, and community service

Required Qualifications:

  • Earned Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or related field prior to start date
  • Evidence of peer-reviewed publication

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Potential for high-quality and sustained scholarly productivity
  • Potential for seeking and/or securing external grant funding
  • Evidence of effective teaching that serves School needs
  • Potential to collaborate with CJ agencies
