About the Department
The Department of Justice Studies at San Jose State University is a leading institution in the field of justice studies, with a strong focus on interdisciplinary inquiry into principles and issues of social justice and human rights. Our department offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, including a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies, a Master of Science in Justice Studies, and a Master of Science in Criminology with a Concentration in Global Criminology.
About the Position
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced lecturer to join our faculty pool in Justice Studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in justice studies, including courses on criminology, forensic science, and human rights. The lecturer will also be expected to contribute to the development of new courses and programs, as well as participate in departmental service and research activities.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in justice studies, including courses on criminology, forensic science, and human rights.
- Develop and teach new courses and programs in justice studies.
- Contribute to departmental service and research activities.
- Advise and mentor students in the Department of Justice Studies.

Qualifications

- Strong research and teaching skills.
