Appointment Details:
Temporary positions may be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis. Appointments from the part-time pool are typically made shortly before the commencement of the academic term, necessitating availability on short notice.
Academic Calendar:
The academic year consists of two main terms: the Fall term, which runs from mid-August to late-December, and the Spring term, from mid-January to mid-May. Opportunities for teaching during Summer Sessions may also be available.
Contract Duration:
Initial appointments are generally for one semester or one academic year, with the possibility of renewal based on satisfactory evaluations and the ongoing availability of work.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a graduate degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Nursing, Public Administration, Public Health, Public Policy, Sociology, or Social Work. University teaching experience is preferred.
In lieu of a PhD or Doctorate, candidates with a Master's Degree in any of the aforementioned fields and over five years of supervisory experience in the public sector are encouraged to apply.

Compensation:
Initial rank and salary for lecturer positions are determined based on professional experience and educational background, as assessed by the hiring department. Most new hires are typically appointed at the Lecturer A or B rank and placed at the beginning of the salary range.
Compliance and Background Checks:
