We are seeking a qualified part-time lecturer to join our faculty pool at California State University San Marcos. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in Sociology and Criminology & Justice Studies.
Key Responsibilities- Teach courses in Sociology and Criminology & Justice Studies
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
- Assess student learning and provide feedback
- Participate in departmental and university service activities
- A master's degree in the area of instruction or a closely related field
- Experience teaching Sociology and/or Criminology & Justice Studies
- Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and/or intercultural competence with diverse groups in relation to teaching
- A doctorate or terminal degree in the area of instruction or a closely related field
- Higher education experience teaching Sociology and/or Criminology & Justice Studies
The salary for this position is commensurate with degree level and experience. The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range.
