Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms to ensure they are clean, organized, and equipped for patient visits.
- Organize patient records and ensure all necessary documentation is ready for appointments.
- Collect and record patient vital signs, medical history, and other relevant information.
- Communicate test results to patients as directed by healthcare providers.
- Manage front desk tasks, including collecting patient payments and explaining billing processes.
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently.
- Process prescription requests for the healthcare team.
- Secure necessary insurance authorizations for patient treatments.
- Handle incoming faxes and distribute reports accordingly.
- Respond to patient inquiries and provide medical information as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
- Strong verbal communication skills; bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in typing, data entry, and computer operations.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including prolonged sitting and standing, lifting, and moving patients or objects over 50 pounds.
