Job Summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our OBGYN department. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed healthcare providers with patient care, including vital sign collection, medication administration, and specimen collection.
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and test results.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and responding to patient inquiries.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
Working Conditions
