Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Mobile Equipment Technician is to oversee the maintenance and repair of all company assets. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of mobile fleet equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct scheduled inspections and perform preventive maintenance on heavy machinery according to established protocols.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to carry out repairs.
- Monitor mechanical devices during operation to identify issues.
- Disassemble equipment to access and replace defective components using various tools.
- Inspect parts for wear and determine necessary replacements using measuring instruments.
- Lubricate moving parts and test repaired equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems on heavy machinery.
- Operate grinders and other metalworking tools for repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Clear oil separator screens and lube oil strainers as needed.
- Repair and install mechanical units such as pumps and motors using hand tools.
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and welding equipment as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a mechanical role, or a combination of education and experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card

Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and hydraulic equipment
- Knowledgeable in mechanical maintenance and repair
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and manuals
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with various mechanical systems
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members
- Capable of performing physical tasks and operating heavy machinery safely.
