Role Overview -
The Mobile HVAC Technician is responsible for the operation, inspection, and maintenance of all HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within designated facilities to ensure optimal performance and longevity. This role ensures that equipment is maintained in an energy-efficient and safe manner, minimizing downtime through proactive repairs and thorough documentation of past operational experiences. Responsibilities include conducting inspections and repairs on both the interior and exterior of properties, encompassing walls, flooring, fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, and more.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Execute ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems and equipment.
- Oversee the operation and repair of all HVAC systems and related equipment, electrical distribution systems, plumbing, and building repairs as they pertain to assigned facilities.
- Conduct facility inspections and due diligence, reporting on conditions affecting client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Respond promptly to all emergencies.
- Prepare and submit summary reports to management detailing conditions observed during assigned tasks, along with recommendations for action.
- Familiarize yourself with various equipment and the methods necessary for their proper use, including building automation and fire/life safety systems.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, ensuring cleanliness and safety in work areas while identifying and mitigating hazards.
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Be available for after-hours building-related activities as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions.
- Perform other operational tasks typical of the Mobile HVAC Technician role.
- Tools necessary for the role will be provided.
Essential
- Universal EPA 608 Certification.
- A minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering, with a strong focus on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment maintenance and repair.
- A valid state driver's license is required.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb ladders up to 30 ft.
- Willingness to perform on-call duties and overtime as necessary.
- Understanding of MEP/HVAC system design and application.
- Experience with work order management and CMMS technology.
- Background in service roles related to commercial facilities.
