Position Overview:

The Personal Financial Advisor (PFA) Team Leader is accountable for the direct oversight of a team of PFAs. Key responsibilities of this role include recruiting, onboarding, and managing the daily activities and performance of team members. Duties encompass training and mentoring staff on delivering capabilities virtually and fostering relationship-building skills. The position supervises the sales efforts of the PFA team, ensuring compliance with suitability, product knowledge, and overall business activity review.

This role collaborates with Wealth Market Leaders and Financial Advisor Managers to assess market performance of Retail referrals and enhance the PFA team's confidence to drive increased utilization.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership in people management by recruiting top talent, establishing goals, developing team members, managing performance, and making compensation decisions while promoting teamwork and addressing disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Directly supervise the PFA team.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, management, and performance of staff, including licensing, training, coaching, mentoring, sales, and brokerage referrals.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines concerning TDPCW/TDIS and TDWMSI offerings.
  • Coach staff on client engagement, discovery, solution delivery, follow-up activities, and skills to enhance wallet share.
  • Implement impactful activities and ongoing sales/product training, coaching, and provide project coordination for sales support.
  • Boost sales and referral productivity through active coaching on partnership skills with Stores to generate referrals.
  • Collaborate with WMLs to analyze market performance, both internally and with Retail, for Retail referrals to the centralized sales desk, managing RMM relationships across the Network to build confidence and referral volumes.
  • Manage responses to Robo Hybrid Advice inquiries as volume increases.
  • Utilize workforce management tools to monitor SLAs, forecast staffing needs, and optimize performance, managing referral routing and daily scheduling to enhance team efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Oversee transitional coverage of Financial Advisors' books (e.g., during attrition or long-term leave) and work with staff and Retail Store personnel to identify solicitation indicators from departed Financial Advisors.
  • Lead initiatives to transition smaller relationships, annuities in run-off, and clients with less complex servicing needs to the centralized sales desk.
  • Identify opportunities to support all Wealth segments and implement additional responsibilities as approved.
  • Support campaigns that effectively generate leads and opportunities.
  • Provide leadership and collaborate with managers to develop, retain, and promote highly competent, customer service-oriented staff; maintain a continuous pipeline of FTE to meet staffing needs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Required Licenses or Registrations (or ability to obtain within Licensing & Registration Schedule): Life/Health, Series 65, 7, and 24.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Previous sales and leadership experience.
  • Attention to detail and effective project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Driver's License required.

  • Must be eligible for employment under standards established by FINRA.
