Key Responsibilities:

As the Accounting Manager at IPS, you will oversee the daily and monthly accounting functions across multiple locations. Collaborating closely with the Regional Finance Manager and the Corporate Finance team, you will facilitate the month-end closing process and provide essential support to the regional team in daily accounting operations at the Service Centers, which includes supervising invoicing, payables, job costing, payroll, and more.
  • Manage the month-end closing process, which includes journal entry processing, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate daily with the Area General Manager to support strategic business decisions and enhance profitability across financial and operational processes.
  • Assist the Regional Finance Manager in financial planning and analysis for the Service Center, including the development of the annual budget.
  • Guide the Service Center Finance staff in areas such as job costing, inventory analysis, accounts payable, labor entry, and expense reporting.
  • Travel approximately 25% of the time to support Service Center personnel.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to inform data-driven decisions aimed at increasing sales and profitability.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in managerial accounting is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems and month-end closing procedures.
