About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our team at Argus Media. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving the growth and adoption of our petroleum product indexes among our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to maintain and grow usage of our petroleum product indexes.
  • Collaborate with our editorial staff to develop new indexes and change existing ones, in consultation with traders and index users.
  • Work closely with our marketing staff and other Business Development Managers to develop and enhance messaging around our petroleum product indexes.
  • Identify challenges, changes, and opportunities in East of Rockies petroleum products markets, and escalate these within the Argus organization as appropriate.
  • Act as a liaison to pricing staff, junior oil product traders, and analysts at major oil companies, and maintain a direct line of communication with our editorial staff.
Requirements
  • 7-12 years' experience in petroleum product markets, ideally within pricing, risk, or analysis.
  • A broad network of contacts within the Houston refined products trading community.
  • Keen interest in commodity markets, the ambition to be great at what you do, and a desire to grow within the organization.
  • Good mental arithmetic and mathematical instincts.
  • Maturity and organizational skills to manage internal stakeholders in a productive and efficient manner.
  • Comfortable with a varied workload, and the likely need to pivot within an agreed role and strategy as market conditions evolve.
  • A clear communicator over email, video chat, and in person.
