Position Overview
Under the guidance of the Clinical Nutrition Manager (CNM) or Director of Nutritional Services, this role serves as a vital resource for nutritional information within the healthcare team. The incumbent will conduct and document comprehensive nutritional evaluations in accordance with the MNT protocol and the standards set forth by Stormont Vail Health.

Qualifications
  • Experience in a hospital or outpatient clinic setting is preferred.
  • Valid Dietitian License - KDADS is mandatory.
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification from CDR is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Gather detailed nutrition history and perform thorough nutritional assessments. Provide recommendations for nutrition support, including enteral and parenteral nutrition.
  • Create and execute a tailored plan of care based on nutritional assessments and available resources, collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
  • Educate and counsel patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, food choices, preparation methods, and specific dietary education.
  • Assess the effectiveness of nutritional care and ensure continuity of care through follow-up evaluations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of nutrition care plans and related information in patients' medical records, ensuring EPIC system accuracy and productivity.
  • Conduct training sessions on nutrition and dietary therapy for hospital staff, community groups, and Nutritional Services team members, including in-service training for relevant teams.
