Position Overview:
This role is pivotal in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems and processes within our organization.

As an Automation Solutions Engineer, you will collaborate closely with automation contractors, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and productivity through automation technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and conceptualize innovative automation solutions.
  • Design and develop automated systems, scripts, and workflows utilizing appropriate tools and technologies.
  • Implement automation solutions across various departments while ensuring minimal disruption to existing operations.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to verify the reliability and scalability of automation solutions.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance and support for deployed systems, troubleshooting issues and implementing enhancements as necessary.
  • Create and maintain thorough documentation for automation solutions, ensuring accessibility for relevant stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in automation, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to align automation initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Communicate progress and challenges to stakeholders clearly and concisely.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 7 years of automation experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Skills:
  • Extensive knowledge of automation technologies and methodologies, with hands-on experience in design and implementation.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities, aligning automation initiatives with business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Experience with change management principles, focusing on driving organizational change.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented and results-driven mindset.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) and experience in food processing or Lean/Sigma methodologies are advantageous.
