Job Title: Planning and Zoning Development Coordinator

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled Planning and Zoning Development Coordinator to join our team at the Town Of Oxford. As a key member of our planning department, you will be responsible for coordinating and reviewing various permit applications, providing technical assistance to the public and other departments, and contributing to the development of land use and community plans.

Responsibilities:

* Coordinate review and verification of permit applications for construction, subdivision, and shoreline work;
* Provide technical information and assistance to the general public, planning professionals, government offices, and town staff regarding zoning, planning, and code-related information;
* Assist in updating planning and zoning codes, as well as historic guidelines;
* Conduct research, develop, coordinate, and administer land use and planning-related projects;
* Maintain accurate records, conduct related public communication;

Requirements:

* Strong knowledge of municipal government programs and decision-making processes;
* Knowledge of principles and practices of municipal land use planning, design, and development;
* Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
* Self-starting drive to get things done;

Salary Range: $62,500 - $82,500 per year
